Fort Fletch

Firearm Transfer Policy / Procedures - Revised December 2022

During times of high demand or limited availability, we may not be able to order the firearm you are looking for. In that case, you may be able to find it online. Fort Fletch has NO financial or business relationships with online sellers. Understand that there are two distinct transactions in order to do a “Transfer." First is the financial aspect of the sale with the online seller. Second, is the Federally required background check that takes takes place at a local gun shop (FFL) of your choosing.

Please note, if we are unable to transfer you the firearm because of a DENIED background check, you will be responsible for the transfer fee, return shipping, and a restocking fee from whom you purchased it.

You will need a unexpired TEXAS Driver’s License with current address and be at least 21 yrs of age in order to transfer the firearm. If you do not have a current TXDL, you may use another form of current Government issued ID (i.e., Passport, Military ID) with an additional document from a local Government organization proving residency (e.g., Vehicle Registration or Tax document) may be used. An Out-of-State License with old address cannot be used for ID.

IT IS THE BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE FORT FLETCH IS OPEN TO RECEIVE YOUR TRANSFER. Normal business days are Tuesday thru Saturday. UPS/FedEx will attempt to deliver at least 3 times before returning. Special Holiday closure dates and hours are listed on Yelp, and Google.

Please provide the following info:

Email is preferred: fortfletch (at symbol) icloud.com or thru our “Contact us” page.

If this purchase is via Gunbroker, the seller will have access to the the necessary document for transfer. You may disregard the remaining portion of this paragraph. When you conclude the online transaction the seller will ask for a FFL. My FFL Number, if needed, is 5-74-06463.

If the seller sends you an email asking for your transferring FFL to send a FFL copy, please forward that email on to Fort Fletch & we will respond. We will not send FFL copies to Gmail, Yahoo, or questionable email accounts. In that case they will need to send us their’s first and we will respond with the appropriate documentation. If the Seller says they have not received my FFL, tell them to check their JUNK MAIL.

Transfer fees are as follows:

IF A FIREARM IS RECEIVED WITHOUT PRIOR CONTACT
AND/OR APPROVAL, THE TRANSFER FEE WILL BE
$100.00 OR, THE FIREARM SHIPMENT MAY BE REFUSED
AND RETURNED TO THE SENDER.

Utilizing Fort Fletch as your transferring FFL constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of Fort Fletch’s Transfer Policies.

Transfer fees are subject to change without notice.

Individuals shipping a firearm to Fort Fletch
Most Carriers no longer allow Non-Licensed (No FFL) persons to ship firearms or parts. Because of this we recommend finding a local FFL to ship from. However, US Post office does allow the shipment of long guns to a FFL. In order to accept this firearm, you MUST INCLUDE a copy of a CURRENT government issued ID card with the shipped firearm. Fort Fletch will NOT transfer any firearm without an ID copy.
